Welcome to Poetic Chaos,
simply named for the representation of who we are; we’re a family who through failure and strong will (let’s be honest, stubborn) found ourselves helpless and living a life of hopelessness. It was here that Jesus broke us and began to build us up again.
Follow us as we begin this journey from that to new.
My name is Megan and this is my crew. My husband Mike and I have two kids, one boy and one girl who is slightly older than this classy photo here. She’s a bit older but I like the photo and everything about it. They were little, so little here. Today, he’s a strapping, sweet, ornery seven year old and she is a wild haired three year old who gives the biggest hugs. My husband and I met in 2002 yep, at work. I’d say that was the end of our story but wow, that was only the start. We started like many, going through a ride of fancy dreams on a small, too small budget and several other twists that challenged and bettered us. And other twists that we held onto longer just for fun (and just because we’re THAT stubborn). But I firmly believe God molds how He needs to, though we may refuse, turn away, and pout, He’ll continue to pour into us, making us pliable.
I don’t write with a glorified perspective that I have solved, anything but. In fact, I’ve had the struggles so many others have daily; I’ve struggled with doubt, angst, unworthiness. I’ve found myself bound by the words others have labeled me and felt shackled. I’ve found myself comparing my worse to everyone’s best, everyones. Yup. I’m not perfect and we certainly are not but what we are is filled with God’s grace, hopeful of a new today and a promising future. There’s nothing predictable in this chaos, it’s what makes us interesting -Atticus
Good words, Atticus, good words.
