Everyone’s talking about it, and if it’s not being talked about it, it’s being displayed everywhere; the political excitement blares it’s loud voice of insanity. Posts, memes, and boycotts seem to set an already unsettled heart and make it grow more unsettled.
I’m not a political person and honestly, you don’t need to be to notice the climate as of late.Yet, no matter the side of the decision you are, it’s easy to feel a sense of urgency and angst as we await the pressing future. We want to feel secure, we want to feel confident; we want assurance that our future .
As a young student I recall countless moments when the teacher would pass out a test, each student quickly took pencil to it and began to work, I’d stare at it, my mind overwhelmed with fear and a quiet noise telling me I couldn’t, I wasn’t smart enough to do it. It had been something I was well prepared for but before beginning, I was full of doubt and simply needed soft, quiet reassurance that I could complete and succeed.
That need for reassurance about our uncertainty continues, never do we not need to know we’re ok, we’re enough, and that our future is ok.
…and in some way it will be, it may look different, but it will be ok.
